Chip Huber has been named the new Director of Athletics at Cornerstone University. The announcement comes as part of a restructuring that grows the responsibilities of three assistant athletic directors and further integrates the university’s athletic department with its student development department. “Chip’s leadership of both athletics and student development offers budget efficiencies in a higher ed climate where tuition affordability is paramount,” said Gerald Longjohn, Cornerstone University’s Vice President for Student Development. “It also provides Cornerstone with an increased emphasis on the needed integration of athletics with the campus. We want to continue the foundation laid by Dave Grube of building an athletic department that has an impactful place in our Christ-centered community.” Huber, who began his service at Cornerstone as the Dean of Student Engagement in 2009, now has the title of Associate Vice President for Student Development and Director of Athletics.
