The University of Guelph has named Scott McRoberts as director of athletics following an extensive search. McRoberts, currently athletics director at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), will begin his appointment March 14. McRoberts has spent more than 12 years in strategic management and fundraising with universities, national sport organizations and municipalities throughout North America, Whiteside said. Previously, he worked with Stanford University, the University of San Francisco, San Jose State and the City of San Francisco, and was executive director of the Niagara Sport Commission. He served as an assistant coach for the successful U of T men’s and women’s tennis teams.
