Arkansas Athletic Director-Vice Chancellor Jeff Long was the featured speaker at the Northwest Arkansas Touchdown Club on Wednesday. Long was asked about a recent comment about the football team being ahead of schedule, the Texas job opening, the Texas A&M series in Dallas and much more. Long also was asked about rumors that Baylor would be on the schedule in 2020 at a neutral site. The Hogs have an opening that year with the Texas game slated for 2021. Long mentioned possible neutral site locations that year and not necessarily against the Bears. “We have had conversations with a dozen or so teams about 2020,” Long said. ” We’re looking at that for a neutral site. But that’s just one of the sites (Baylor in Houston). Houston is attractive, Orlando is attractive and Kansas City is attractive. Those are all sites we’ve looked at and will continue to look at.” Long also said he expects to be playing in AT&T Stadium against Texas A&M through the contract in 2024. Texas A&M is not as certain about wanting to continue to play in Dallas each year. Long said the contract has been signed twice by the Aggies, once before they joined the SEC and once after so he doesn’t anticipate anything changing. The two teams will meet there on Saturday night. – Otis Kirk, 247sports, Read More
