Although the job has been vacant for nearly three months, Christopher Newport University is not rushing to hire a full-time athletic director. Lori Jacobs, Director of Public Relations at CNU, said a national search will begin after the New Year with a goal of having the job filled “no later than June 1, 2016.” Christopher Newport will be looking to replace Todd Brooks, who last June resigned to take the AD position at Berry College in Rome, Ga. Brooks. Jacobs said the university is starting its search in January because of the timing of Brooks’ resignation.
