Eastern Kentucky University’s would-be move to the Football Bowl Subdivision suffered a blow Monday evening. USA Today reported that the Sun Belt Conference has selected Coastal Carolina, not Eastern Kentucky University, as its 12th member. A formal announcement is expected Tuesday. As for EKU, the Colonels will need to find another league before making their own move. New Colonels Athletics Director Steve Lochmueller told the Lexington Herald-Leader in a story published last Thursday, “At this juncture, we’ve got all our cards with the Sun Belt.
