Multiple sources at Long Beach City College said Wednesday that the Vikings will soon name Randy Totorp their new Athletic Director. An official announcement is expected early Thursday. Totorp returns to LBCC after almost a year and a half serving as AD at El Camino College,. Prior to that, he was the interim AD at LBCC from 2011-2013. The Vikings had their most successful seasons in school history during that reign, despite suffering major budget cuts. His background as a coach as well as an administrator helped him become very popular with the coaches at LBCC during his two-year interim reign, including his last hire, football coach Brett Peabody.
