Chuck Edkins has been named Director of Athletics at Misericordia University, Kit Foley, vice-president of Student Life, announced on Monday. Edkins is entering his 25th season as head men’s soccer coach at Misericordia and has served the last 11 years as associate director of athletics. Edkins has amassed a 276-152-33 record over his career as MU’s head soccer coach, including a 15-6-2 mark and ECAC South championship a year ago. A four-time PAC Coach of the Year recipient, Edkins was the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2008 and holds an NSCAA Advanced National coaching license. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physical education from SUNY-Cortland.
