AUSTIN PEAY STATE UNIVERSITY

Sources tell College AD that Ryan Ivey will be named the next athletic director at Austin Peay this afternoon. Ivey is the current athletic director at Texas A&M University-Commerce. We are told that Texas A&M University-Commerce has already secured a search firm to find the University’s next athletic director.  Prior to Texas A&M University-Commerce, Ivey served as associate athletic director at  McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he was an integral member of the Cowboys athletic department from 2007 to 2013. The other three finalists for the position included: Jason Coomer, senior associate director of athletics for external affairs at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Dr. Roderick D. Perry, deputy director of athletics at Wright State University, and Jim Sarra, deputy director of athletics at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
