If there’s an issue between Texas men’s athletic director Steve Patterson and anyone in the football program it’s not Charlie Strong. During his breakout session with reporters at Big 12 Media Days in Dallas on Tuesday, Strong had nothing but good things to say about Patterson when asked about his relationship with the Longhorns’ maligned men’s athletic director. Patterson has come under fire for a variety of reasons from fans, media, donors and alums alike, but Strong’s public stance differs from how others rate Patterson’s performance thus far. “Steve has been great for me and he’s been really good,” Strong said. “Everything I’ve asked for he’s done it for me and he’s done an unbelievable job.” – Jeff Howe, 247 Sports.
