The Governors’ newest assistant basketball coach isn’t all that new to Austin Peay State University. Jay Bowen rejoins the APSU staff for what will be his second stint at Austin Peay and third working with longtime Govs coach Dave Loos. Bowen served as a basketball assistant at Austin Peay in the 2001-2002 season, helping build the two-time Ohio Valley Conference champion team, and previously worked under Loos when he was coach at Christian Brothers University. Bowen most recently worked with a Division I program in 2010-2011 when he helped Chattanooga to a Southern Conference North Division title. – Autumn Allison, The Leaf-Chronicle. Read more.
