Hardin-Simmons’ basketball coach Melanie Chonko has announced the hiring of Caprice Stephens as the new assistant for the Cowgirl basketball program. Stephens comes to HSU after serving the last three seasons as the assistant coach at Mary Hardin-Baylor and she was also with the program for eight years prior to that as a volunteer assistant coach. In her 11 years with the program as a coach, the Cru went to 10 American Southwest Conference Tournaments. She also spent four years as an assistant coach at Temple College and spent eight years in the Temple Independent School District. – Noodls. Read more.
