Toby Lovecchio will be stepping down as director of athletics to become associate athletic director for operations at the University of Scranton. During his tenure, Lovecchio was instrumental in Scranton’s move to the Landmark Conference from the Middle Atlantic Conference. Among his achievements, he also established the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, added women’s lacrosse as an intercollegiate varsity sport, facilitated the acquisition of the Southside Sports Complex and Springbrook, and added eight full-time head coaching and six full-time assistant coaching positions, two full-time athletic training positions and two full-time positions in athletic communications. – The Times Tribune.
