After a year and a half as Sul Ross State University’s Interim Director of Athletics, Bobby Mesker has been promoted to the full time Athletic Director. Mesker’s last two seasons as head baseball coach have been his team’s best. The Lobos advanced to the ASC Tournament for the first time in 15 years and finished among the final four teams remaining in the tournament and shortstop Josh Vasquez was voted ASC Player of the Year. This past season, SRSU finished in the top half of the conference standings and went 15-15 in ASC play. In addition, this season, virtually every SRSU team showed improvement.
