The Montclair State Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Marlon Sears as the new head men’s basketball coach. Sears becomes the 15th head coach in the history of the program. Sears comes to Montclair State following five seasons at Cornell University under head coach Bill Courtney. He became Courtney’s first hire when he accepted the job of recruiting coordinator in the spring of 2010.
