The longtime basketball coach at Louisiana College, Gene Rushing, is retiring. Rushing, 67, came to Louisiana College, a private Baptist college, in 1967 to play basketball and spent 11 years as an assistant and 29 years as the head coach. Rushing had a 335-431 record at LC, including a stretch between 1987 and 1991 where he went 102-48, won an NAIA district title and made an appearance in the NAIA national tournament. – USA Today.
