Western Illinois University athletic director, Tommy Bell, will become the next director of athletics at Southern Illinois University. A press conference is scheduled for 3:30 PM today. The Southern Illinoisan first reported. Tommy Bell was hired in July 2013 to oversee the Western Illinois University Athletic Department. Bell served as Director of Athletics at Fort Wayne (IPFW) for six years prior to joining Western.
