Miami University Athletics Director David Sayler said on Tuesday he is not a finalist for the same job at the University of Houston. Houston television station Fox 26 reported Monday night that Sayler, an assistant athletics director at Houston from 1999 to 2001 before spending four years as senior executive athletics director at Rice, was among the finalists, but Sayler is not going to interview for the job, according to Dave Meyer, Miami’s assistant athletics director for communication.
