Ritchie McKay left to take the head coaching job at Liberty — the same position he held before joining Bennett’s staff in 2009. McKay said he informed Bennett he was leaving during an emotional conversation. Last season, McKay was firmly in the mix for the head job at Charleston before removing his name from consideration.
