The University of Texas Athletic Department says it and Rick Barnes have mutually decided to part ways. Barnes says he has “no regrets” after 17 seasons as the head coach of the Longhorns men’s basketball team. In an emotional farewell press conference over the weekend, Barnes said, “As a coach, this whole thing is about the players and the chance to coach and be around and watch them grow and develop and I do know what – we’ve been blessed as a staff here to have so many people.  He won three Big 12 regular-season championships and reached the NCAA Tournament in each of his first 14 seasons in charge of the Longhorns. – Fox Austin. Read More.
