Pitt athletic director Scott Barnes sat down with members of the media on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming game against Penn State, the continuation of the rivalry and other topics. Barnes said he would love to play Penn State “in perpetuity” and added there were no sticking points on Pitt’s end about making that happen. There were early talks about saving dates in the mid-2020s to try and schedule more meetings after 2019. Barnes would like to have either Penn State or West Virginia on the schedule every year, although Penn State gets priority because it’s an in-state rivalry. Pitt has a four-year agreement to play the Mountaineers starting in 2022. – Lauren Kirschman, pennlive.com– Read More
