In an extremely tight-lipped search, sources divulge details of the Troy athletic director search to College AD. We’re told that interviews for the position took place late last week in New Orleans. Additionally, three candidates have emerged. In no particular order, the first, is Mike Alford, Senior Associate AD for Development at the University of Oklahoma. Alford oversees the ongoing efforts of the Sooner Club, the principal fund-raising arm of OU Athletics. The second, is Jeff Crane, Senior Associate AD for Development at the University of South Carolina. Jeff is in his ninth year at the University of South Carolina and has responsibility for all development operations for Gamecock Athletics, including the Gamecock Club, major gifts and premium seating. The third, is Tim Stedman Associate AD for Advancement at the University of Missouri. Tim joined the University of Missouri Athletic Department in March 2014 as the Associate Athletic Director of the Tiger Scholarship Fund. Stedman has previous ties to Troy, serving as director of athletic development from 1994-96.
