On May 3, 2015, Julie Hermann took centerstage in the Rutgers Athleticsprogram’s inaugural R Awards banquet, offering platitudes and distributing trophies for the Scarlet Knights’ accomplishments throughout the season. Nearly one year later to the date, the former Rutgers Athletics Director was meeting with the NCAA’s enforcement staff, providing testimony in the investigation into the Scarlet Knights football program. That was one of the many revelations in Rutgers University’s 102-page responseto a series of alleged violations made by the NCAA. The report, first obtained by NJ Advance Media on Thursday morning, notes that Hermann “agreed to be interviewed by the enforcement staff and the University on May 2, 2016.” Documents obtained by NJ Advance Media earlier this year show that the meeting took place at the NCAA offices in Indianapolis and the law firm representing Rutgers was paid for 5 1/2 hours of work that day. – Keith Sargeant, nj.com – Read More
