LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

Baylor deputy athletics director Todd Patulski is leaving the school to join Liberty University and his old boss Ian McCaw, Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades confirmed Tuesday. Patulski will join the Liberty athletic staff early next week, Rhoades said. “Todd has been a great employee of Baylor University, and he’s been just tremendously helpful to me,” Rhoades said. “He helped make my transition to Baylor much easier. I think, just like it’s not uncommon to bring in somebody that you’ve worked with and that you trust, like I did with (deputy AD) Jeremiah Dickey, it always helps to have someone who understands your expectations. I imagine Ian is doing the same thing.” Liberty hired McCaw as athletic director in December. McCaw resigned from Baylor in May 2016 following the fallout from the Pepper Hamilton investigation that discovered a “fundamental failure” with Title IX implementation and how the university and athletic department handled sexual assault cases.-Brice Cherry, wacotrib.comRead More
