Sports dietitian Samantha Fuhrmann has joined the North Dakota State University athletic department as the program’s first nutritionist, a new position made possible by funding from an NCAA distribution benefiting student-athlete health and wellness. Fuhrmann will manage the Gate City Bank Fueling Station at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, assist NDSU teams with meal planning, and provide nutrition education to coaches and student-athletes. She comes to NDSU from Billings, Mont., where she spent the past two years as an inpatient and eating disorder dietitian for St. Vincent Healthcare and the Rimrock Foundation.  She also owned and operated Eat Wise, providing personalized meal plans, cooking demonstrations and meal guidance to high school athletes. Fuhrmann has been in college athletics as a nutrition intern at Tennessee in 2012 and Oregon in 2015. – Read More
