The Colgate University men’s varsity rowing team has been suspended from all fall competition and the first meet of the spring season due to hazing, according to Colgate officials. The team is being disciplined because the team violated the college’s policies on ”high-risk alcohol consumption” and hazing, said Victoria M. Chun, Colgate’s vice president and director of athletics. The team will also not have the opportunity to compete in the postseason, officials said. Members of the team will undergo mandatory education regarding hazing prevention and high-risk alcohol use, college officials said. Vice President and Dean of the College Paul J.
