Chris Zorich is ascending in the world of college athletics. Chicago State has hired the former Bears and Notre Dame defensive tackle as its athletic director. Zorich replaces interim Tracy Dildy and will begin May 8. Zorich, 49, had been the athletic director at Prairie State, a community college in Chicago Heights. Zorich, one of Notre Dame’ all-time greats, played for the Bears for seven seasons. The College Football Hall of Fame inducted him in 2007. Teddy Greenstein, Chicago Tribune. Read More.
