BIG 12

Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby and Oklahoma President David Boren addressed the media Friday afternoon after wrapping up the Big 12 Spring Meetings. The duo announced that the league has unanimously decided to bring back a football conference championship game beginning with the 2017 season. While the league has agreed to the return of a championship game no decisions have been made about how the two representatives will be chosen or divided up. As far as expansion goes, Bowlsby and Boren  did not rule out the league adding teams. They reiterated that league and university officials will discuss the expansion issues later on this summer. The Big 12 officials also noted that the league will equally distribute $304 million to its ten members.
