Alabama State has a new leader of its athletic department. The university named Jennifer Lynne Williams its interim athletic director late Wednesday night following the official resignation of Melvin Hines. “Alabama State University is fortunate to have someone of Mrs. Williams’s caliber to take this interim position,” new ASU president Quinton Ross said in a release. “I am fully confident in her ability to lead our athletics department at this critical juncture.” Williams is in her second year at ASU as she’s been the deputy director of athletics.
