It seems like every other week we post a guest article where a longtime athletic department leader espouses the importance of communication and adaptability. But clearly there is a reason, when given the chance to offer advice to the masses, athletic directors and industry professionals go to those two points.
It’s because not enough of us do them well. Communication, especially in an unfamiliar manner, often takes us out of our comfort zone. That is why the second part, adaptability is so important. Good communication isn’t about just saying what you have to say in a clear manner, it’s about saying it when and where it needs to be said.
For that reason, we thought we would mix it up today by posting a recent article by Zach Maurides, President and Founder of Teamworks, a software company that specializes in providing mobile communication and collaboration tools to athletic organizations. Hopefully, if you enjoy it as much as we did, we’ll be able to bring you more from Zach in the near future.
